The Cheiro Roxa is a Brazilian pepper whose name translates to "smell purple" in Portuguese. It's one of the most beautiful peppers we grow. The pods go through a stunning color transformation from dark purple to pinkish-purple and peach as they ripen.

The flavor is sweet, fruity, and aromatic with a moderate heat that won't destroy you. Not a superhot by any stretch, but it brings a nice kick along with that chinense complexity. The plants are productive and the foliage can have a purple hue too. As much an ornamental as a culinary pepper.

  • Heat Level: 60,000 - 100,000 SHU / Medium
  • Flavor Profile: Sweet, fruity, aromatic
  • Days to Maturity: 90-120 days from transplant
  • Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
  • Seeds per Pack: 10+

Every seed is grown in isolation tents at our Nebraska farm, keeping the chance of cross-pollination to around 4%.

Growing tip: Great for salsas and fresh eating. The color transition from purple to peach makes these a conversation piece in any garden.

Add to cart and grow something legendary this season.
