The Purple Pumpkin is pure eye candy. Small, rounded pods shaped like tiny upside-down pumpkins that cycle through deep purple, lavender, peach, orange, and finally bright red as they ripen. Multiple color stages on the plant at the same time makes for an incredible display.
The flavor is sweet and crunchy with medium heat comparable to a jalapeno. The sweetest and most flavorful stage is when pods have fully matured to orange or red. Compact, bushy plants that produce heavily all season. Great ornamental that doubles as an edible pepper.
