Urfa Biber is a Turkish pepper known for its dark, reddish-burgundy color, a complex flavor profile of salty, smoky, sweet, and slightly sour notes, and a low, mild heat similar to a jalapeño but with hints of chocolate and tobacco. Also called Isot pepper, it's sun-dried and traditionally wrapped at night, creating an oily, moist texture. This versatile spice is used in both savory dishes like kebabs and salads and sweet applications such as chocolate desserts.
