A cross between a Pimenta Leopard and Carolina Reaper, and one of the most visually striking peppers we grow. The pods start out with a blotchy, almost black and red coloring that looks wild on the plant. As they ripen, they mature to a solid red. The color show alone is worth growing these.
Hotter than a ghost pepper with a fruity, mildly bitter flavor that makes incredible chili powder. If you want a pepper that's as fun to watch grow as it is painful to eat, the Leopard Reaper delivers on both.
- Heat Level: 1,200,000 - 1,800,000 SHU / Extreme
- Flavor Profile: Fruity, mildly bitter, great for powder
- Days to Maturity: 95-150 days from transplant
- Difficulty: Advanced
- Seeds per Pack: 10+
Every seed is grown in isolation tents at our Nebraska farm, keeping the chance of cross-pollination to around 4%.
Growing tip: The blotchy black and red pattern shows up early. If you want to capture that look for photos or display, harvest some pods before they turn fully red.
