Growing Tips for Carolina Reapers

• Start early. Reapers need a long season. Start seeds indoors 8–12 weeks before your last frost date.
• Use a heat mat. Soil temps of 80–85°F are non-negotiable for good germination.
• Be patient. Germination takes 14–21 days on average. Don't give up at day 10.
• Full sun, warm soil. Reapers want at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight and nighttime temps above 55°F.
