The M.A. Faces pepper was created by Matthew Arthur from a cross between the Trinidad Scorpion, 7 Pot Jonah, and Ubatuba Cambucci. The name comes from the "face-like" bumpy, gnarly texture of the pods. They look angry, and they taste like it too.
The flavor is surprisingly sweet, tropical, and citrusy for a superhot, which is a refreshing change from the typical bitter or floral notes you get from other extreme peppers. Golf ball-sized pods with thick skin. At 1-1.2 million SHU, this is serious heat with serious flavor.

Growing tip: The "face" texture is the draw. The gnarlier the pod, the cooler it looks. Look for the protruding points and bumps that give these their name.
